Sustainability Banner Logo.png

Architecture is about investing material resources to create buildings and places that serve functional and artistic objectives for our society. These buildings and places are generally conceived to remain serviceable over at least a generation. Sustainability is the capacity for architecture to endure, to remain serviceable, without creating an undue burden of resources required over its lifetime.

HPA is dedicated to an architecture that minimizes resource investment initially and over time. Over 1/3 of the professionals at HPA are registered LEED professionals by the United States Green Building Council. We have achieved LEED certified Platinum level awards for some of our buildings and have designed the largest Gold certified LEED facility for Crate and Barrel in Tracy, California.
