Goodman logistics center - Oakland

Location: Oakland, California

Developer: Goodman Birtcher

Size: 374,725 sf

Details: Goodman Logistics Center Oakland is an industrial warehouse facility totaling 374,725 sq.ft. located in Oakland, California and is the first building to be completed in North America by Goodman Birtcher.

This project represents the largest freestanding industrial facility in the Greater Oakland area constructed in the last two decades.

Strategically positioned to provide access to eight major freeways on the Heavy Weight Corridor (overweight container route), the building is designed to accommodate large distribution companies with heavy container volume in a highly desirable and central location. The facility's proximity to this extensive freeway network enables line-of-sight entry to both the Port of Oakland and rail yards of BNSF Intermodal and Union Pacific. The project location is also uniquely adjacent to Oakland International Airport.

The property sits within the Oakland Airport Business Center, a business-friendly enterprise zone and eco-conscience industrial city just east of the San Francisco central business district.

A number of sustainable features were incorporated into the building design and Goodman Logistics Center Oakland is expected to gain a Silver LEED Certification from the US Green Building Council.
